The Spotted Rump
Rockin' R Ranch
           2003  foals

Well, here it is, again; that time of year, and the foals are finally arriving!!! So far, we have had close to no problems with anyone, and we even added three new horses to our herd the early part of this year.  Every animal seems to be getting along as a family does.
Our first foal to arrive was a palomino blanketed filly out of our new mare, Royale Navajo Queen.  We purchased the mare, Maneer, from Gayle Bieganowski in February, in foal.  Maneer foaled on March 12th, producing Blue's Navajo Rain.  Rain, a real sweet heart, has a decent sized blanket with spots, two hind and right fore tall socks, and a star, strip, and snip.   She has been purchased by Molly Fox, who lives near us and plans on joining us and showing with all the happy Appies!  Rain placed third out of 9 (8 adult horses) at a local show recently.  Rain is registered ApHC #618694 and is enrolled in the ACAAP program.

On April 1`6th our third to arrive was a bay colt out of our mare R Plaudit's Calico Cloud (Calico had a filly a couple years ago named R Secret Wap May Spot, who now lives in Washington with Jill Rizk).  Our beautiful blanketed colt also has two hind and right fore socks, and a star, strip, and little snips you can only see when his mouth is open.  We have named him R Secret Anniversary because he was born on my and my husband's 15th wedding anniversary; and what a nice gift he was!   He is He was ponied off his sire on a trail ride 10-5-03, and was great.  He is being shown and has won a first place at a local show, and earned several national points.  He is registered ApHC #618869 and ICAA F2-2283.  He is loved, owned, and shown by Julie and Jeff Wahby of J Squared Lessons and Training.
On April 5th our second to arrive was a dun filly out of our dun mare Prince's Bonanza Bar (who I purchased from Gayle Bieganowski in 2002!), and by our stallion, Secret Mr Bar Reed.  She also has two hind and right fore tall socks, and a star, strip, and snip.   She was born on April 5th, and we named her R Dun By Secretary, with the help of the office staff at Babler State Park. She is for sale, and ties, leads, trailers, picks up her feet, and all the other fun stuff!!!!  Jill, as we call her, and her mom participated in the Veiled Prophet Parade in downtown St. Louis on the 4th of July, and she did great! She is registered International Buckskin Horse Association #A-23135, is registered ICAA F3-B-2282, is CPO registered ApHC NC 620657, and she is paid up in the Breeders' Trust.  We are asking $4000 for this sweet and wonderful filly.

On Septemer 29th our sixth to arrive was a buckskin colt out of an outside Arabian mare, Rakzan, bred to our stallion, Secret Mr BarReed.  This beautiful colt has a nice balnket with spots, shoulder bars, two hind socks,  lightning marks, and a large star, strip, and snip.  His owners told me he is everything they wanted, and they are thrilled with him and his great personality.  They, too, are also doing all the fun things with this colt we all love to do with our foals to make them thriving adults, and he is being shown and doing well at it!

On April 27th our fourth to arrive was a dark dun colt out of our mare, Dancing Cherub, and by our stallion, Scret Mr BarReed.  This beautiful blanketed colt has a nice blanket and a large star, strip, and snip.    He is no longer available.  (These photos were taken at 30 hours old.)
On May 13th our fifth to arrive was a buckskin colt out of an outside Appaloosa mare, Fox Farm's Midget, bred to our stallion, Secret Mr BarReed.  This beautiful colt has a sock and a star, and his owners are thrilled with him and his great personality.  They are also doing all the fun things with this colt we all love to do with our foals to make them thriving adults.
