Welcome to the Spotted Rump
         Rockin' R Ranch,
registered Appaloosas

Lola Abeln, my friend who accompanies me to many shows, was willing to go with me, again this year (thank God!).  Lola, I'm glad you were there, as always.  Thanks for being such a great friend.

We decided to go down all week to Fort Worth, Texas, for the 2002 World Championship Appaloosa Show this year.  Mister, after being endurance ridden all year, was not up to par, but Jewel, our mare, was doing fine.
Mister ended up not doing nearly as well as he could have, but Jewel did end up coming home with two fifths; one in Men's Heritage (thanks to Scott Plowman), and one in Green Hunter.  Jewel, our little angel who does not like to take a certain lead jumped the entire Green Hunter course with all correct leads (I had decided to ignore which lead she was on and just jump)!
Mister ended up with four 11ths (they give ribbons to 10th); we were in six classes, I belive.
Please come back and visit us!
Thank you,
Kim Rumpsa     :)

This photo is of the Halloween costume contest; I am the clown on Mister the clown, Lola, the milk maid, is handeling Jewel, the cow (notice her anatomy!), and Dona Boatman the Easter bunny is riding the WR's Chip O Skip, the Easter horse (notice Chip's eyes are not visible through those holes!).  The milk maid and cow were first, the Easter Bunny and Horse were second, and the clowns were third.  We each received a Halloween bag filled with goodies both for us and the horses!
This is me, Scott Plowman on Dancing Cherub (Jewel) with their 5th place ribbon, Shawn Plowman, and Lola Abeln.  I tried to get Scott to smile, but he insisted this was the way a Cavalry man would look.  Well, he's right!
This is Stephanie and Lance Lewis, Lola Abeln, Dancing Cherub (Jewel), and Kim Rumpsa on Secret Mr BarReed.  That's Jewel's ribbon, by the way.  Mister was just sad he didn't feel better that week. :(
Lance, Stephanie, and Lola were, again, there to cheer us on, regardless of how great, or cruddy we did!  It always feels good to have someone in the audience there to support you.  There were, I should mention, many others who were also there, including Dona Boatman, the Kathee and Ray Glodowski, Carol and Ray Lawrence, and so many more.
This space is awaiting one jumping photo.
